~Lands of Elysius~
This is a fantasy rp! Read the rules first or I shall maul you! Grammar Nazis need to be level headed here or they'll get kicked out. Anyone welcomed as long as they are literate and try to write in sentences! Please enjoy! I put a lot of sweat into the making of the storyline. You do not have to read through all of the storyline, but please atleast skim.
Rules:
1. NO godmodding 2. Don't ignore anyone. 3. Romance is allowed -- just not too explicit please. 4. Yeah, so no cybering kiddies. Keep it to the pms, ya hear? 5. Pm profiles to me with the title Elysius or post your profile with Elysius to start it off if I am not online. As long as it is posted, you may start. If there is a problem in your profile, because it misses some criteria, I will ask you to edit it, 'kay? 6. OOC - (out of character posts) used must be so: ((blah blah blah)) 7. If you aren't gonna be here long term bugger off, speaking politely, or kill your character off somehow to avoid loose ends 8. Limitations to spheres coming soon, but use common sense people! For example, electricity can be generated a number of ways, but make it link with the sphere you manipulate. However, you may only have profound mastery over lightening if you can conduct it naturally, thus Air/Wind Guardians only would have said Mastery. As said, only mastery over water if you are a Water Guardian, etc. 9. Have fun!
I will do the following in the next few posts:
Storyline mixed with setting Character profile - how to set up your profile Characters Vice holders of the thread

Storyline
~Traitors of Virtue and the Guardians behold, Your time is ending~
Magic has been twisted by the Land’s call.
This story begins when the earth was new to creation, untouched by man, and Magic reined the earth. Men descended unto this world. They lived peacefully. But, they soon took the Land for their own. Now view it a few centuries later and man has ravished and reaped the Land until it was starved of the very life force that it sustained Men by. Men twisted the Land and gouged its insides out, making it bleed and scar. While the land was marred and ruined, it called out to Magic also made perverse by mankind's cruelty. Magic became restrained into the several spheres that were omnipresent throughout the land: water and fire, earth and air, death and life. Human dwellings were swept by destruction and were thus annihilated.
A saviour came, clad in foreign clothes and sealed this wild Magic into human vessels. These vessels were the Guardians, made immortal by Magic. Initially six Guardians were appointed to bear the burden of these Magic, but they struggled to contain these forces so another six beings of the most loyal helped to share these Gifts. They then set off to teach others how to use Magic. They were ruled by the saviour for many years, who claimed the unbound Magic for his own – sphere of creation called Cosmos. However, like the other spheres there was always an opposite force to maintain equilibrium in the Land, so Chaos brooded. Alas, he was not a true Guardian so he weathered the ages like the finite lives of men.
Ruling over the sphere of Water was turbulent Isead and murky Niphae in their watery palaces while arrogant Rvak and seductive Karissa crackled with the power of the Fire sphere. Still Lazarus and bubbly Ariah held the Air sphere aloft from their mighty perches, whilst sturdy Jemret and motherly Mab hid in caves nurturing the sphere of Earth. Murderous Arachnia and depraved Nekron hid in the Land’s shadows, sentinels of the sphere of Death, as innocent Jibrielle and righteous Septirius cleansed all mortal pains with the Life sphere’s powers.
Other sentient races lived on these lands, but these short lived allegiances were only sworn to the Guardians. Goblins followed Mab in her underground temples. Dwarves learnt of cultivation in the mountains of Jemret. Rvak promised power to the Cat peoples of the arid regions. Karissa held all intruders captive, who dared enter the wastes. Isead busied himself with merry making and danced among the humans. Niphae lived in wary solitude, but amused herself by luring humans to their death. Lazarus flew through the Lands of Ice alone although the Draconian tribe worshipped him. Ariah lived in an ice palace guarded by humans. Arachnia raised Dro’yrk to feed her spider children. Living with the undead, Nekron gazed envious at Jibrielle’s affinity with all beings that walked the Lands. All races came to Septirius, seeking guidance and justice.
As the lands became more prosperous, so did humans learn again of greed, but not until a few decades of good rule when thereafter the stranger disappeared and the Lands were once again consumed by despair. Corruption and greed gnawed at men’s hearts and the Magic within the Guardians turned. The Magic strained against its human bonds and tore loose from the Guardians. The humans they dwelt among soon blackened what purity of the Magic left in the Guardian’s blood. Once again Magic rode rampant through these lands. Exactly one hundred years have passed since this tragedy. All of the guardians have passed away, driven mad by the Magic. The great capital of these lands of Elysius, Sha 'Lok 'Rothem became the blackened heart of corruption.
Another 12 Guardians must rise, but who shall govern the spheres of Cosmos and Chaos?

Character profile must be like so or something like it.... PLEASE CHOOSE A COLOR TO MAKE POSTS IN
username: Name: Age: appearance: Please show pics or descriptions! Race: Sphere:
Chaos - Female taken (Kiiaraneth Solarizus) Cosmos - free spaces Earth - free spaces Wind - free spaces Fire - free spaces Water - free spaces Life - free spaces Death - free spaces
SPHERE definition - A sphere is what a Guardian is tied to. There can only be one male and one female to a sphere. It is based on the elements, fire, water, earth, air, life, death, cosmos and chaos. These Guardians are immortal once they are bestowed with these powers and can channel the magic from the spheres into themselves. A sphere is not a tangible substance, it just exists as a way of maintaining equilibrium and needs Guardians to control it. Each sphere has a certain strength over others, but thats for you to figure out, ne? Or decide....
Powers: For the purposes of easier story telling, do limit your powers so that you can't destroy cities or armies; make it more anti-person then anti-army. It's better character and story development if you actually lose sometimes. Weapons: Pets: Alliances:friendliness to people under a certain sphere or race or hostility. A history may be made under each alliance like the lingering effects of a friendly relationship between two or more of the old guardians. Those under the sphere of Cosmos and Chaos are relatively new so they may not have any particular ties to other spheres or races. Bio:(A little brief blurb explaining your character's history, or sense of ethics, something that gives an idea of how your character reacts) Races you may choose:Human, Elf, Fae, (Dro'Yrk)Dark Elf, Ork, Goblins, Draconians, Tigrans, etc, you get my drift. You can make up a race if you like, as long as you can give some description of the race's restrictions, strengths and adaptations.

Characters CHAOS username: KiiAraneth_Solarizus Name: Kii'Araneth Solarizus Age: 117 (appears to be 17 yrs old, as she inherited Guardianship a century ago and has not aged since) appearance: She has white hair and grey eyes with indigo and gold flecks- the picture is for general appearance, but only shows a roughy correct depiction.
Sphere: Chaos Race: Dro'yrk (like a dark elf) Class: Assassin Powers: Minor manipulation of all spheres although she specialises in shadow weaving. She can fly, by forming shadows and making them into wings. Weapons: A ridiculously over sized spear that is much larger than her (5' . When she applies her powers, it can be altered with the help of her blood. She sports a few small throwing daggers and specialises in poisons as her home village had previously been under the rule of Arachnia. Pets: None Alliances: None Bio: Her family had served in the village under the Guardian, Arachnia, but were not one of the 'livestock' families bred for Arachnia's spiders. She was fortunate enough to be held in high enough esteem that she had the opportunity to escape her village by training as an assassin. However, on the day she was meant to be sent off to the mountains of Mab for intensive training, Arachnia, who had disappeared for several months, reappeared at the mouth of the temple cave and destroyed the village. It was a massacre, and Kii'Araneth was the only living witness. In revenge, Kii'Araneth tracked down the berserk Guardian and managed to deal the finishing blow to Arachnia. In that moment, Chaos was channeled through her and she inherited Guardianship. Not understanding the consequences of her actions, ahe returned to the burned remains of her village, reeking of death and waited for death. A century has passed since the massacre of her village and she has finally decided to move on.
