Has anyone ever played WoW?  Is it worth the money?  I never played a MMOG.  I like the D and D games, but have played almost all of them.

I personally haven’t played it, though a friend told me its HIGHLY addictive. He played 2 weeks straight and he even went 48hours without sleep. After that episode he vowed never to play again kicked the habit before it became a full blown addiction

Maybe try some of the free mmporg games first might not be as good but might give you an idea if the genre is for you. ^^

Thanks, I'll try that.  I heard you can play by yourself, which is a surprise.  It seems if you play with others, you get into campaigns where you have to let them die without you or go without sleep.  That sounds boring to me.

Oh wow, I feel so lost in this discussion. The only games I've played recently are DDR and Mabinogi (do MMORPGs count?). I'm getting bored of games, though. I was never really into them.

And also, WoW is addictive. My brother got into playing it and didn't do much else all summer. Don't get addicted to games! It's unhealthy! D:

Great advice! But I think I'm hopeless any way, seeing my addiction to manga. Every hour I play a game is probably saving me cash from book buying.  I don't read much downloaded manga, because I just like holding an old fashioned book! (And a screen hurts my eyes after too long).  My TV is far away, so I can play my PS3 fine.

There goes me reviving a dying thread. Just to say that I've been so dead, the most I could play on was websudoku and spider solitaire. I'm seriously feeling sorry for myself atm, so the minute I'm free (which is now) I'm looking for some game to play and/or manga to read just to find that my kids have killed my comp somehow. Perhaps, I just left it too long and really need to do some house cleaning Will be happy for some recommendations other than super robo wars. Don't want to be stuck the next 2 weeks playing the new K.

I play the wii like someone's going to take it from me. I love the new Mario game (Super Mario...although Mario Galaxy is suppose to be the pinnacle of amazing.) I just love how I can be so horrible at games like MW2...and kick butt on super mario!!

Another great game? Professor Layent (I think that's how you spell it) OMG....I could spend hours on that game and not even realize. (So it's kinda like my version of WoW, only I don't pee in old Mt Dew bottles.)
